Tripoli, June 24, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in charge of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Tuesday, in the capital, Tripoli, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Libya, Liu Jian.

During the meeting, they discussed friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields, strengthening the strategic partnership and serving the common interests of the two friendly peoples.

The two sides also discussed the outcomes of the China-Africa Coordination Conference at the level of foreign ministers, in which the Minister recently participated. They emphasized the importance of deepening consultation and coordination and intensifying joint efforts to support development initiatives and promote continental integration within the framework of the partnership with China.

The meeting also addressed ongoing arrangements for the resumption of operations of the Chinese Embassy in Tripoli, including the provision of consular services to Libyan citizens and residents, which will support economic, investment, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
