CBL Governor meets with NOC chairman.

Tripoli, June 17, 2025 (LANA) – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Naji Issa, discussed with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, on Tuesday at his office in Tripoli, the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the two institutions to support the oil sector, as it is the main source of national income and a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
The meeting addressed the financial arrangements supporting the CBL's plans to increase oil production and addressing the most prominent difficulties hindering the implementation of its expansion plans, particularly with regard to providing financial resources to support the CBL's plans to increase oil production.
The Governor emphasized the Bank's support for providing the necessary financial resources through banking and financial institutions.
The CBL indicated that this step is a clear indication of the Bank's commitment to enabling the CBL to implement its plans amidst the difficult economic and investment conditions and to ensuring the regular supply of fuel through the NOC's accounts at the CBL.
