Tripoli, June 16, 2025 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, discussed with Daniela Kroslak, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the Strategic Review Team, ways to enhance joint cooperation between Libya and the United Nations.

The meeting, held Monday in the capital, Tripoli, addressed aspects of existing cooperation between the two sides. The meeting reviewed the overall activities of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) over the past years, and discussed prospects for future cooperation, particularly in the areas of economic reform and promoting stability and development.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation to serve the interests of the Libyan people and support the country's political transition and sustainable development.
