Tripoli, May 18, 2025 (LANA) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, held a meeting today, Sunday, with several department heads to discuss the bank's operations and ensure the provision of banking services to citizens in anticipation of Eid al-Adha.
The meeting discussed expediting the disbursement of May salaries, once they arrive this week, and coordinating with banks and issuance departments in various regions to provide liquidity and continue electronic payment services to facilitate services for citizens.
The meeting also discussed resuming work with correspondents abroad to cover the banks' foreign currency needs to pay for credits to ensure the regular flow of goods to the Libyan market.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya conducted an inspection tour of the Central Bank's buildings to assess the damage to some offices and vehicles.
