Addis Ababa, April 5, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Youth in the Government of National Unity, Fathallah Al-Zeni, discussed common issues between Libyan and Ethiopian youth today, Saturday, with the Ethiopian Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergoge Tesfaye. The meeting took place during his participation in the African Youth Leaders Summit, hosted by the Ethiopian capital under the theme "Unleashing the Energy of Youth for a Prosperous Africa."

The Ministry's media office stated, that Al-Zeni expressed the support of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, for developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of youth, in light of the challenges facing the youth of the African continent.

For her part, Ergoge Tesfaye commended the high-level implementation of Libya's "Return to Life" plan to empower Libyan youth, demonstrated by the establishment of local youth councils and new youth facilities. She affirmed her country's readiness to develop bilateral and continental cooperation to serve the empowerment of African youth in general.

It is noteworthy that Al-Zeni held a series of bilateral meetings from April 3 to 5 with various youth leaders from African countries to enhance networking, sustain joint work, and exchange experiences between youth leaders and councils in Africa.
