Al-Kilani participates in the 2025 World Disability Summit in Berlin.

Tripoli, April 3, 2025 (LANA) - Minister of Social Affairs Wafaa Al-Kilani participated in the opening of the 2025 World Disability Summit, which kicked off in the German capital, Berlin.
The opening session was attended by a number of prominent figures, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, along with ministers, officials from international organizations, and representatives of civil society.
The summit is being jointly organized by the governments of Germany and Jordan, in cooperation with the International Disability Alliance, and aims to accelerate the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and enhance international efforts to achieve sustainable development.
The summit includes discussion sessions and workshops aimed at strengthening international partnerships and providing a more equal environment for people with disabilities worldwide.
