After a seven-year hiatus, Sirt Oil and Gas Company restarts its second methanol plant.

Sirt, March 31, 2025 (LANA) - The technical teams of the Sirt Oil and Gas Company for Production and Processing succeeded in restarting the second methanol plant after a hiatus of more than seven years. Actual production began after the installation of a natural gas heater was completed.

The company's technical teams are working around the clock to restart the first methanol plant, including overhaul work, the installation of thermal softener pipes, and the modernization of the control system. Technical efforts, expertise, and competencies have worked day and night to complete these works in record time.

The production capacity of the two methanol plants is 2,000 metric tons per day.
