Benghazi, March 23, 2025 (LANA) - Essam Al-Asbali, Director of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the government assigned by Parliament, held a meeting this Sunday morning with the Head of the Office of the Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Humanitarian Coordinator for the UN Mission, Nawon Choi.

The meeting, held in Benghazi, discussed ways to support the work of UN agencies and facilitate their procedures for carrying out their humanitarian missions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is the legal gateway and primary channel for dealing with international organizations, thus linking these efforts with local partners represented by ministries, agencies, and non-governmental organizations in Libya.
