Tripoli, March 23, 2025 (LANA) - The Directorate Support Force in the Western Region denied reports circulating on social media about illegal immigrants escaping after being apprehended by the force in the city of Surman, stressing that this is false.
The force clarified in a statement issued on Sunday that it is continuing to work to identify migrant workers who entered the country without official documents, noting that illegal immigrants flee when patrols go out to apprehend them.
The Directorate Support Force reassured the residents of Surman that security is proceeding according to a clear security plan, calling on citizens to report the whereabouts of migrant workers.
