Al-Shahoubi meets with Italian General Civil Aviation Authority delegation.

Tripoli, March 06, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, "Mohammed Al-Shahoubi", discussed with a delegation from the Italian General Civil Aviation Authority headed by the Director General "Fabio Nicolai" technical cooperation and enhancing the readiness of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority to receive European and international audit teams.

The Civil Aviation Authority affiliated with the ministry explained via its Facebook page that the meeting was held yesterday, Wednesday, and comes within the framework of following up on developments in cooperation and coordination with civil aviation institutions in other countries to enhance the capabilities of the Civil Aviation Authority and raise its readiness to receive audit teams affiliated with the European Commission and the International Civil Aviation Organization in order to lift the air embargo.

During the meeting, Al-Shahoubi praised the cooperation between the two countries and the efforts made by resuming flights between the two countries and continuing joint work to complete lifting European restrictions on air traffic with Libya.
