Cairo, March 4, 2025 (LANA) - Arab leaders began the work of an emergency summit in Cairo, today, Tuesday, to discuss developments in the Palestinian issue, and on the agenda is the plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip and reject the displacement of its residents after the Israeli war of extermination
The summit is chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, while the summit witnesses a remarkable participation of Arab leaders, leaders and officials.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi, said in his opening speech that "our summit comes in the midst of a very complex regional crisis," indicating that the region "faces serious challenges that threaten regional security and stability."
El-Sisi called for "the adoption of our plan that preserves the Palestinian people's right to rebuild their homeland and remain on their land," stressing that "the fierce war on the Gaza Strip aimed to destroy the means of life and gave the people of Gaza the choice between annihilation and displacement."
He added: "We are working on training Palestinian security cadres who will assume security in the Strip during the next phase."
The Egyptian president called on everyone to participate in the Gaza Reconstruction Conference, which will be held in Egypt next April, and to direct support and contributions to the fund that will be established for this purpose.
