AU Summit approves Libya's hosting of the African-Turkish Summit in 2026.

Addis Ababa, February 17, 2025 (LANA) - The 38th African Union Summit, held in Addis Ababa, on February 15-16, adopted a decision to host the African-Turkish Summit, scheduled to be held in 2026.
The media office of the Presidential Council, said that this decision came as a result of the diplomatic efforts made by the Libyan delegation during its participation in the aforementioned summit, headed by the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Mnifi, "and also within the framework of emphasizing the importance of Libya hosting this event, as a step that reflects the efforts made to restore its active role and pioneering position on the continent, after it was a pivotal player in expanding the horizons of economic and political cooperation and sustainable development.
