Somalia and US carry out a military operation against ISIS.

Mogadishu, February 17, 2025 (LANA) - The Somali government and the US Air Force Command (AFRICOM) carried out a joint military operation yesterday, Sunday, against the terrorist organization ISIS militias in the Alamskad Mountains in the Bari region of Puntland State.
The Somali National News Agency (SONA) said, that the operation is still ongoing, and full details will be announced once its assessment is completed.
It stressed that the Somali federal government and its international allies are committed to enhancing cooperation in the mission to eliminate terrorist groups.
