Libya signs to join the Constitution of the African Civil Aviation Commission.

Addis Ababa - February 14, 2025 (LANA) - Libya signed today, Friday, on the sidelines of the African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa, to join the Constitution of the African Civil Aviation Commission of the African Union AFCAC,

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity stated that "Mohamed Adam Lino", Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative in Addis Ababa, signed on behalf of the Libyan side, in the presence of "Edvank Adeyemi", Secretary-General of the Committee, explaining that Libya's accession to this constitution and its attached amendments represents a step within the framework of exchanging support and transferring technical expertise in the field of civil aviation between Libya on the one hand and African countries as well as the African Civil Aviation Commission on the other hand.

It is also an important step within the framework of developing the Libyan air transport sector and granting it advantages, privileges and rights, including Libya's right to vote in international elections in the field of civil aviation, as well as the right to apply for candidacy for positions in the international system concerned with the aviation sector.
