Libya and the UAE sign a memorandum of understanding.

Tripoli, February 11, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, "Mohammed Al-Shahoubi", and the UAE Minister of Economy - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Civil Aviation Authority - "Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri" signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at lifting restrictions imposed on the movement of passengers and air cargo between the two countries.
The government's media website, stated that the signing of this memorandum aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in the air transport sector, and facilitate air flights, which contributes to activating trade and investment exchange and strengthening economic ties between Libya and the UAE.
It also, pointed out that the signing of the memorandum comes within the framework of a series of agreements concluded by Libya with other countries, such as Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey, with the aim of reopening its airspace and enhancing cooperation in the aviation sector.
