Libyan Customs Authority celebrates International Customs Day

Tripoli, January 29, 2025 (LANA) - The Libyan Customs Authority celebrated today, Wednesday, the International Customs Day, which falls on January 26 of each year, under the slogan "Customs fulfills its commitments with efficiency, security and prosperity"
The celebration was held in the International Conference Hall at the Customs Training and Studies Institute in the Customs City in Salah al-Din, Tripoli, in the presence of prominent figures from officials and customs leaders and representatives of government and economic sectors in addition to international delegations.
The ceremony included a number of visual presentations that illustrate the role of the Customs Authority in the security and economic aspects, as well as a sports show by the Customs Union Sports Club.
The Authority indicated that the celebration confirms the vital role played by customs as one of the pillars of economic and security stability, as it contributes to facilitating trade, enhancing customs control, combating smuggling and drugs, and border security.
