Jalu, January 29, 2025 (Lana) - The Anti-Migration Agency and the Military Police in Al-Wahat found a hideout in one of the farms where more than 300 African migrants had been detained by a group of smugglers.

A supervisor at the Disease Control Hospital in Al-Wahat, Saleh Mohammed, told (Lana) that the migrants were in poor health and were exhausted by hunger, thirst, and illness, including women and children.

For his part, Awad Al-Majbari, one of the ambulance personnel at Jalu Hospital, said that they received a report from the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency about the need to provide first aid to a group of Africans from Ethiopia, Sudan, Chad, and Somalia who were exposed to dire humanitarian conditions, and urgent tests and analyses were conducted on them, and some of them were admitted to intensive care.

The Lana correspondent reported that charitable societies in Jalu have begun providing and collecting food, clothing, and necessities for this large number of migrants who cannot be accommodated by the city’s hospitals all at once.

It is planned to take investigative measures into the case for the purpose of deporting them to their countries.
