Dbaiba praises Qatar's role in supporting the Palestinian cause.
Pulbished on:Davos - January 21, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Foreign Affairs "Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba" met today, Tuesday, with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh "Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani" in the Swiss city of Davos, on the sidelines of their participation in the World Economic Forum.
The media office of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity said that during the meeting, regional and international developments were discussed, in addition to issues of common interest between the two countries, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields in a way that enhances common interests and strengthens relations between Libya and Qatar.
Also adding, that "Al-Dbaiba" praised during the meeting the role played by Qatar, in cooperation with Egypt and the United States, in reaching a ceasefire in Gaza, appreciating the efforts of Qatari mediation in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people. Expressing Libya's position rejecting the continuation of Israeli attacks, stressing that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of international laws and human rights.
The head of the National Unity Government, also stressed the need to intensify international efforts to deter the Israeli occupation and hold it accountable for its crimes, and to ensure that aggression against the Palestinian people is not repeated, renewing Libya's full support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, most notably the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
