Kufra Municipality expresses concern over increasing numbers of Sudanese refugees and its inability to meet their needs

Kufra January 12, 2025 (LANA) - Kufra Municipality announced its inability to accommodate all the needs of Sudanese refugees with their increasing numbers.

Municipality spokesman "Abdullah Suleiman" said in press statements that the numbers of these refugees are constantly increasing and that the municipality's capabilities are limited and do not meet all their needs.

"Suleiman" explained that the number of Sudanese refugees in Kufra is estimated at about 100,000 refugees, amid the absence of appropriate arrangements to accommodate them.

Kufra Municipality had previously directed direct criticism to many international organizations, calling on all organizations working in humanitarian affairs to provide greater support to improve the conditions of refugees.
