Alitalia celebrates resumption of flights to Tripoli
Pulbished on:Rome, January 12, 2025 (LANA) - The Italian Airlines "ITA Airways" held a celebration today, Sunday, on the occasion of the resumption of its direct flights to Tripoli after a hiatus of more than ten years, and the launch of the first flight today in the presence of the Libyan Ambassador to Italy "Muhannad Younis" and a number of members of the embassy.
The celebration, which was held at Fiumicino International Airport, was attended by a number of Italian officials, including the Mayor of Fiumicino, the President of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, the Deputy Director General of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, the Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers, and the Director of International Communications at Italian Airlines.
The launch of the first direct flight today is a prominent step towards strengthening cooperation between Libya and Italy, and in support of civil aviation movement, which opens new horizons for trade, economic and cultural exchange between the two countries.
