Libya and Italy discuss strengthening cooperation in the energy area.

Tripoli 28 November 2024 (Lana) Acting GNU-Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, discussed yesterday with the Italian Minister of Energy, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, ways of strengthening cooperation in the areas of energy and renewable energies.

The communication office of the ministry stated that the meeting discussed ways of cooperation in the areas of training and scientific research to enhance local capabilities in the energy area.

The two parties stressed the importance of encouraging Italian companies to invest in oil services and the renewable energy sector in Libya to contribute to achieving sustainable development.
