Al-Koni, during his meeting with the notables of Zuwara, calls on the Libyan people to assume their responsibility in preserving the unity of Libya.

Zuwara, November 6, 2024 (LANA) - Deputy of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, met with dignitaries and notables of Zuwara city during his visit to the city today, Wednesday, reviewing with them the latest developments in the situation at various levels and the state of political deadlock that the country is experiencing.

According to the media office of the council, Al-Koni stressed the necessity for the citizen to be the one who decides in this matter by granting legitimacy to those who lead the country to safety through the ballot boxes, calling on the Libyan people to assume their historical responsibility in preserving the unity of Libya by holding the elections that the Libyans are looking forward to.

The dignitaries and notables of Zuwara city praised the position of the Presidential Council to ward off sedition at the Ras Ajdir port recently, and announced that the city's compass is the homeland and continues to stand by it to ensure the stability of Libya, according to the media office.

The city officials reviewed before the Presidential Council Deputy, Musa Al-Koni, a number of strategic projects that have been stalled for years, which have led to a decline in the level of services in many areas, including the central hospital, the airport, the port, infrastructure, and the desalination plant, calling for their completion due to their importance.

The dignitaries and notables of Zuwara called on the Presidential Council, according to the media office, to take exceptional and decisive decisions that contribute to ending the political stalemate that is within its powers, and that the solution be Libyan-Libyan through the referendum commission that the Presidential Council recently announced.

Al-Koni stressed that the city of Zuwara is Libya's western window with neighboring countries and must receive its rights to services, similar to other cities in all areas, stressing the importance of the stalled strategic projects there, and the necessity of their completion by the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of the best services to citizens.
