Dbeibah pays an inspection visit to the Urban Planning Authority.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, October 20, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dbeibah", today, Sunday, paid an inspection visit to the Urban Planning Authority with the aim of addressing the current urban conditions.
During the visit, an extensive workshop was held that reviewed the urgent and three-year plan prepared by the Urban Planning Authority, where the head of the Authority, "Ahmed Al-Mukhtar", reviewed the measures taken regarding the preparation of the development plan for the Authority and the targeted timetable for the plan.
The Prime Minister indicated that the State of Libya has not witnessed any planning project since 2004 and that the government will not delay in paying attention to urban planning and giving it priority in the development program, stressing the need to coordinate with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish urban planning departments in engineering colleges to enable them to contribute to addressing the urban conditions that the country is experiencing.
The Prime Minister was accompanied on his tour by the Ministers of Housing and Utilities, Planning, Local Government, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Directors of the Administrative Centers Development and Improvement Departments, the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Department, the Transportation Projects Implementation Department, and the Director General of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, in the presence of the Directors of the Authority’s branches, departments and offices, and those interested in addressing the current urban conditions.
