Sirt municipality holds an emergency meeting with service companies to discuss preparations for the weather fluctuations witnessed by the region.

Sirt September 16, 2024 (LANA) - The mayor of Sirt, "Mukhtar Al-Maadani", held an emergency meeting last night devoted to discussing the arrangements and preparations in the municipality and reviewing the work and emergency plans taken by the Central Administration of the General Water Company, the Sirt Electricity Distribution Administration, the Services Administration of the National Development Authority and the Health Sector in Sirt, and harnessing all capabilities to respond to the weather fluctuations accompanied by the expected rainfall, according to what the expert in monitoring the central meteorology reported, which would provide all services to citizens, according to what the media administration of the municipality reported to the correspondent of LANA in Sirt.

The meeting concluded with the formation of a work room for follow-up and emergencies in the municipality. The officials of the water and electricity companies stressed the provision of all capabilities at the stations and the declaration of a state of emergency for technicians and their presence at work sites and the preparation of mechanisms for any emergency. In cooperation with the Services Department of the National Development Authority, all inspection rooms in the streets were cleaned and the water drainage stations in the city were maintained.
