Pulbished on:Hoon, August 07, 2024 (LANA) - The Municipality of Jofra announced the approval of the Social Honor Charter to Combat Drugs by the Council of Elders and Notables of Jofra.
This came during the forum organized by the Safety Foundation for Combating Drugs in the presence of the Chairman of the Council of Elders and Notables of Jofra, and of the regions of Hun, Sokna and Wadan, the Director of the Jofra Security Directorate, the Head of the Anti-Narcotics Agency and a group of civil institutions and those interested in Jofra.
The charter stipulated in one of its articles that the notables and Elders of Jofra would refrain from interfering, near or far, in the work of the agencies concerned with combating the scourge of drugs and psychotropic substances from a social perspective, whether by reconciliation, concession or leniency in drug cases.
The charter called on parents and families to play their role in protecting their children and communicating with the families of drug dealers and users and warning them against their children falling victim to this behavior and urging them to admit their children to treatment clinics for rehabilitation.
Participants in the forum charter stressed the need to help the security authorities to carry out their duties and not cover up for drug dealers, importers, traffickers and users and report them, calling on the competent security authorities to control the borders of expatriate workers.
