Al-Dabaiba discusses with European Union ambassadors the political situation and the return of embassies to work from Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 26, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, discussed, this evening, Wednesday, with the European Union ambassadors to Libya, the latest developments in the political situation, and followed up on the completion of the return of embassies to work from Libya.
According to the Prime Minister's Media Office, the meeting dealt with coordinating efforts to hold a Trans-Mediterranean Migration Forum in Tripoli in mid-July with the participation of relevant African and European countries.
During the meeting, support for the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to reach elections according to fair laws was confirmed, and the activation of municipal elections was welcomed and the government supported them and provided the necessary facilities.
According to the media office, the ambassadors praised the government’s efforts in the issue of irregular migration, noting the need for effective participation from European countries in the forum scheduled to be held in Tripoli to reduce this phenomenon.
