Deportation of 174 illegal Nigerian migrants from Libya to their country.

Tripoli, 26 June 2024 (Lana): The Department of Combating Illegal Migration in Tripoli, in coordination with the International Organization of Migration (IOM), deported yesterday a number of illegal migrants from Libya to their country.
Media sources quoted security officials in the department as saying that the deportation included 174 illegal migrants from Nigeria, including 39 women and six children.
The sources affirmed that these operations, which take place via air or land flights depending on the migrants' nationalities, will continue during the next weeks.
It's noteworthy that IOM, which works throughout Libya, provides voluntary humanitarian return assistance to migrants who are stranded in Libya or who are suffering from difficult conditions to return to their countries.
