Al-Koni visits the border guards station and vital targets.

Tripoli, June 10, 2024 (LANA) - The representative of the Presidential Council - Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Musa Al-Koni, stressed the importance of the border guards in securing the border strip with neighboring countries, preserving the sovereignty of the Libyan state, and protecting the borders from intrusions, infiltration operations, and the smuggling of weapons and drugs in cooperation with other security agencies. .

 This came during his visit today, Monday, to the Head of the Border Guard and Vital Objectives Corner, and his reception by the Chief of Staff, Major General Muhammad Al-Lakri, and the commander of the military units.

During his meeting with Al-Koni, Major General Al-Lakri reviewed the work mechanism of the Border Guard Corps by securing the border strip, and stressed the need to support the Corps with logistical capabilities so that it can perform the tasks assigned to it.

During the visit, Al-Koni inspected the Specialized Training Center and its facilities, where the center’s commander, Brigadier General Fawzi Jumah Al-Fiqi, presented it in the form of the center’s work, which is represented in advanced proficiency raising courses for members of the Libyan army in their various specializations.
