Al-Dabaiba follows up on the Derna pilgrims procedures
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 6, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dhabiba, met yesterday, Wednesday, with the Deputy Chairman of the Hajj and Umrah Authority, Sabri Al-Bouaishi, to follow up on the procedures for pilgrims in the city of Derna affected by Hurricane Daniel, and the progress of granting visas to the mothers of Libyans targeted for Hajj this year.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that "Al-Dhabiba" stressed during the meeting the need to pay attention to the pilgrims, address the negatives of the past season, and activate the role of supervisors, medical teams, and preaching and guidance committees.
Al-Bouaishi reassured the Prime Minister that the Libyan pilgrims have begun arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and they are in good conditions in all aspects, adding that the last flight for the Derna pilgrims will depart tonight from Al-Abraq Airport, and that the authority has formed a special supervisory committee that includes a supervisor, a doctor, and a psychiatrist for each group in appreciation of them.
He stressed that the process of granting visas for foreign women who are wives of Libyan citizens is going well after the Prime Minister addressed some of the legal problems, praising the step of the National Unity Government, in appreciating the people of Derna, granting them 500 Hajj visas, and issuing his instructions to the Authority to increase the provision of appropriate attention and support to them.
