Dbaiba meets with the Libyan community in China.

Beijing, June 01, 2024 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba, followed up on the situation of the Libyan community in China, in his meeting with them yesterday, Friday, in Beijing, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Libyan Embassy to China, “Khaled Al-Sayeh,” and a number of embassy workers.

According to the “Hakomitna” platform on the net, al-Sayeh presented a position on the role of the embassy in following up on the conditions of the community and the services provided by it, praising the role of the Passports and Nationality Department, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in handling the file of issuing passports through the issuance station.

Members of the community, also, submitted an explanatory memorandum to Dbaiba regarding a number of demands that will contribute to improving services, in addition to their demand to follow up on the conditions of Libyan prisoner Muhammad Amer, and to open a direct line between China and Libya.

The Prime Minister explained to members of the community the results of his meetings with Chinese officials, the first of which was discussing the transfer of the prisoner to serve his sentence in Libya, coordinating to open a direct air route, facilitating visa procedures for citizens of both countries, following up on the return of Chinese companies to contribute to the development projects taking place in Libya, and forming a joint committee between the two countries.
