Waha Oil Company succeeds in increasing its production by 40,000 barrels.

Tripoli, June 1, 2024 (Lana): The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced yesterday that Waha Oil Company has succeeded in increasing its production by 40,000 barrels since October 2022 in the implementation of the corporation’s strategic plan to increase production.

NOC explained that the latest Geosphere 3D and Long Reach directional drilling technologies were used for the first time in the Al-Daffah field by drilling the B220H horizontal well and drilling a horizontal section exceeding two thousand feet.

It added that the well was completed and tested with satisfactory results exceeding 3,000 barrels, and it is expected that a submersible pump and a VSD production regulator will be installed in the next two days to significantly increase the well’s production.

Al-Waha’s technical teams also completed and tested the 6K5 development well in the Gallo field, with a depth of about 11,000 feet, whose production reached 4,000 barrels per day and two million cubic feet of natural gas, and it was actually put on the production line in record time.

The NOC extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Al-Waha Company officials and all its employees for their efforts to complete this work and raise production rates.
