Al-Magarif participates in the inauguration of the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

The activities of this forum were also attended by delegations of (39) African countries, including ministers, heads and general directors of national committees, as well as representatives of learning cities in Africa and relevant ministerial sectors, and many regional and international organizations working in the fields of education, culture and science, according to the ministry’s statement on its page on the Social Media Website .
In a speech he delivered on the occasion, Al-Magarif praised the close and strategic relations between the two countries, enumerating in his speech the advantages of the education system in Libya, including its compulsory education during the basic education period, and its free of charge for all stages of education, starting from the early childhood stage (kindergarten) until university education. , high and precise, explaining that formal education services in Libya are jointly provided by three main ministries, according to specific conditions and standards.
The Minister of Education of the Government of National Unity confirmed his ministry’s intention to coordinate with the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning to prepare and implement policies for lifelong learning, which revolve around national priorities in the field of lifelong learning, and the preparation and design of programmes, curricula and educational content, in addition to the preparation and development of legislation and regulations, evaluation criteria, and other issues and challenges.
It is noteworthy that this African forum to launch the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning lasts for two consecutive days, and its agenda addresses several topics, the most important of which is the signing of an agreement and a cooperation protocol between the Foundation and the training platform, both in pursuit of smart education, and the presentation of the Alliance of National Committees and African Learning Cities, and the presentation of the Foundation The African Council for Lifelong Learning, studying and approving the Foundation’s draft work program, and holding the first session of its Board of Directors.
