Libya has the honor of being chosen as Vice President of the Executive Council of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO).

Tripoli, May 28, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Tuesday, the State of Libya had the honor of being chosen as Vice-President of the Executive Council of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO), during the organization’s meeting held in the city of Marrakesh in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatics considered this position an important step that enhances Libya's role in the field of communications and information technology at the Arab level.

This selection confirms the tireless efforts made by Libya to develop the communications and information technology sector and enhance Arab cooperation in this vital field. It is also an indication of the great confidence enjoyed by Libya from the sisterly Arab countries.

This is the first time that Libya holds the position of Vice President of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization for Communication and Information Technologies, and this victory represents an important achievement for Libya.

It will enable it to participate more in decision-making in the organization during the coming period (2025-2026). This victory will also contribute to strengthening cooperation between Libya and other Arab countries in the field of exchanging expertise and experiences and developing joint projects.

The Libyan representative expressed his thanks and appreciation to the sisterly Arab countries for their trust in Libya, stressing their commitment to working with all member states of the Arab Organization for Communication and Information Technologies to achieve its goals and aspirations.

The selection of Libya as Vice-President of the Council of the Arab Organization for Communication and Information Technologies is an important achievement that contributes to strengthening Arab cooperation in the field of communications and information technology, and opens new horizons for cooperation between Libya and the sister Arab countries.
