Tripoli, May 9, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, “Abdulhamid Al-Dabaiba,” on Wednesday evening, followed up on a number of work files of the Ministry of Planning during his meeting with the Minister of Planning-designate, “Mohamed Al-Zidani.”

  According to the media office of the Prime Minister, during the meeting, Al-Zidani reviewed the work plan of the National Center for Standardization, which prepared 33 Libyan standards during the current year, and granted licenses for the quality mark for a number of Libyan products.

     Al-Zaidani also presented a position on the Department of Statistics and Census’ plan regarding the 24/25 General Population Census project and the accompanying censuses, indicating the main features of the first phase as well as the preparation work for the necessary maps to collect data for inventorying buildings, housing and establishments.

For his part, Al-Dabaiba stressed during the meeting the need for the Ministry of Planning to play its primary role in accordance with the tasks assigned to it through its affiliated agencies, and to promote sustainable development goals in cooperation with relevant local and international institutions.
