Al-Dabaiba attributes the delay in salaries to the non-adoption of the budget law.

Tripoli, February 13, 2024 (LANA) - The head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, said on Tuesday that the main and only reason for delaying salaries is the failure to adopt the budget law for the year, which disrupts disbursement procedures at the beginning of every new year.
“Al-Dabaiba” confirmed, according to the media office of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, his government’s keenness and endeavor not to delay salaries for all Libyans without exception, and that it sought and seeks to raise and increase these salaries and make them fair and appropriate to life’s challenges and obligations.
Al-Dabaiba said, “Although the reasons for the delay were beyond our control, today I find myself obligated to apologize to my people for any delay.”
