Anti-personnel landmines recovered in Ghadames city.

Ghadames, February 03, 2024 (LANA) - The explosive dismantling team of the Technical Affairs Department of the Criminal Investigation Service recovered anti-personnel ground mines in the city of Ghadames.

The Ministry of the Interior stated on Saturday, that the team went to the city of Ghadames, specifically the dirt road leading to the tourist lake of Ain al-Dabban, and began technical surveys and combing the place, until the team was able to dismantle and get rid of three highly dangerous anti-personnel landmines.

The Ministry added that after detection and inspection, and due to the danger of transporting the mines, they were destroyed using technical methods and in accordance with international standards used for the disposal of war waste.
