MOF discusses preparations to host a meeting of defense ministers and chiefs of staff of member states of NARC.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, January 3, 2024 (Lana) The GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation hosted yesterday a coordination meeting between the Ministry of Defense and North African Regional Capability (NARC) as part of preparations for Libya to host a meeting of defense ministers and chiefs of staff of the NARC’s member states during this year.
According to the Ministry’s communication office, the meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, discussed arrangements for the eleventh meeting of defense ministers, the twelfth meeting of chiefs of staff, and the fifteenth meeting of experts in countries of the NARC.
The participants stressed the importance of this meeting, which comes in light of the security and political conditions that the region is going through and the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the countries of North Africa to confront common challenges.
The participants commended the efforts made by the Ministry in preparing well for this meeting and its readiness to provide all the necessary facilities for its success.
In conclusion, it was agreed to hold subsequent meetings to discuss the details of the meeting and its final arrangements.
