The Launch of the Mahara Programming School project in Tripoli, Benghazi and Sebha.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 5, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Tuesday, in the city of Tripoli, the Mahara School project was launched to teach programming in three cities: Tripoli, Benghazi, and Sebha. The project targets everyone who has an interest and background in programming in the age group of (18-30) years.
For her part, the director of the Mahara Programming School project, Lamia Al-Jarbi, told the Libyan News Agency correspondent that the project aims to train one hundred people to help them hone their programming skills and talents and prepare them to enter the labor market, stressing that at the end of the training program the trainees will be linked with companies to obtain job opportunities.
Al-Jarbi indicated that the project includes two courses, namely (Full Stack Web Programming) and (Mobile Application Programming), due to the great demand for them in the labor market, according to surveys conducted at the level of Libya and global statistics, in addition to additional training that includes the most important personal skills necessary for the labor market. The training will be conducted by professional trainers with experience in the field.
It is noteworthy that the Mahara School project is an educational initiative launched with funding from the European Union, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and implemented by the Libyan Spider Company for Comprehensive Technical Solutions and Cloud Services Contribution.
