Al-Lafi and Al-Dabaiba witness the graduation of the sixth batch of members of the 444th Combat Brigade.

Tripoli, November 23, 2023 (LANA) - The 444th Fighting Brigade celebrated today, Thursday, the occasion of the graduation of the sixth batch of its members, in the presence of the representative of the Presidential Council, the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, “Abdullah Al-Lafi,” the head of the High Council of State, “Mohamed Takala,” and the head of the National Unity Government, the Minister of Defense. Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Chiefs of Staff and Units, Commanders of the Tripoli, Central and Western Coast Military Regions, Commander of the 444th Combat Brigade, and a number of graduates’ families.

Al-Lafi said in his speech that today we celebrate the graduation of a new batch of the good, righteous sons of Libya, who learned, in the Libyan military school, commitment and discipline, the principles of patriotism and the values of pride.

He called on the new graduates to preserve the homeland and the capabilities of its people, calling on them to arm themselves with faith and knowledge in this ancient edifice.

  Al-Lafi said that Libya will remain a free, civil state, rich in its heritage, the cohesion and reconciliation of its society, and it will remain strong and impregnable with its solid, unified national institutions. We will all raise its flag and carry pride in it in our souls.

The representative of the Council congratulated the graduates on joining the ranks of the Libyan National Army, expressing his appreciation to the families of the graduates who set a wonderful example of sacrifice and upholding the interest of the nation, and gave the most precious thing God gave them for the sake of the nation.

On this occasion, the Representative in the Presidential Council, the Supreme Commander of the Army, accompanied by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, opened a number of service facilities for members of the 444th Combat Brigade, in addition to the opening of a forum and a sports club.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Representative in the Council, the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, the President of the High Council of State, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, and the Minister of Defense were honored.

During the ceremony, Al-Lafi and Al-Dabaiba also promoted the commander of Brigade (444), Mahmouda Hamza, from the rank of colonel to the rank of brigadier general.
