Tripoli, November 23, 2023 (LANA) - United Nations and European Union agreed to invite Libyan political leaders to meet and to address all challenges facing their country through dialogue, including controversial issues related to the elections.

  This came during a meeting between the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, in the capital, Tripoli, yesterday, Wednesday, with the European Union ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando.

  According to a tweet by the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, on X platform, (the meeting discussed the political process and the security situation in Libya, and international support for the reconstruction process in the city of Derna and its neighboring areas, which were recently ravaged by floods).
