The 5+5 Committee meets in Tunisia in the presence of Batili and the heads of the security working group emerging from the Berlin process.
Pulbished on:Tunisia, November 7, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Tuesday, the 5+5 Joint Military Committee held a meeting in Tunisia with the security working group emanating from the Berlin track, in the presence of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in Libya, Abdullah Batili.
The meeting discussed the committee's work and reviewed and evaluated previous work, in addition to the recent political and security developments in Libya.
Batili said through his account on the “X” website that he attended today in Tunisia the opening session of the “5+5” committee meeting, in the presence of the co-chairs of the security working group emerging from the Berlin process.
Batili praised the 5+5 Joint Military Committee “for its responsibility and unity,” stressing the importance of the joint committee’s role in “the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement and related action plans.”
