UN official: 10,000 killed in Gaza during a month are a “humanitarian challenge” to the world.
Pulbished on:Amman, November 07, 2023 (LANA) - United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, confirmed that the large number of deaths in the Gaza Strip leaves the world facing a “humanitarian challenge.”
According to the organization’s official website, Griffiths said on the “X” platform, on Tuesday, that “10,000 have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October, making us face a humanitarian challenge.”
The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced today, that about 2 percent of the total population of the Gaza Strip became direct victims of this aggression, either dead or wounded.
He pointed out that Gaza Strip hospitals, have received about, a one wounded person every minute and 15 dead every hour since the beginning of the aggression, and that the average number of deaths among children is 6 per hour, and among women are 5 per hour.
For 32 days, the Israeli occupation forces have been waging a “destructive war” on Gaza, in which 10,022 Palestinians were killed, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, and more than 25,000 others were injured.
as well as,160 Palestinians were killed and 2,150 were arrested in the West Bank, according to official Palestinian sources.
