Ministry of Economy discusses mechanisms for activating trade agreements between Libya and Morocco.
Pulbished on:Rabat 5, 2023 (Lana): The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Haweij, discussed with the Minister of Industry and Trade, Reyad Mazour, mechanisms for activating trade relations agreements between Libya and Morocco.
During a meeting held in Rabat, the two sides discussed agreements and memorandum of understanding concluded over the past years. where the two sides stressed the importance of developing commercial cooperation between the two countries, as well as studying, evaluating, and activating the agreements and memorandum of understanding concluded over the past years, especially trade and customs agreements, and the agreement to encourage and protect investment in all areas of common interest.
Al-Hawaij stressed the importance of working to activate the Libyan-Moroccan Supreme Committee and establishing economic activities that contribute to supporting and developing commercial activities and strengthening economic and investment relations between business owners and companies at the local and international levels.
For his part, Mazour announced his country's intention to facilitate visa procedures for Libyans in the near future.
In conclusion, the attendees agreed to form a joint working group that would study and evaluate the agreements and memorandums of understanding that serve the two countries.
