Director of the Foreign Media Department discusses with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

Tripoli, October 16, 2023 (Lana) The Director of Foreign Media Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Badr Shneba, discussed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, Liu Jian, ways to develop friendly relations and cooperation between Libya and China in the area of media.

The meeting, which was held at the ministry’s office in Tripoli, also discussed coordination for the reopening of Chinese media institutions offices in Libya, in addition to enhancing ties between the official Libyan media institutions and their Chinese counterparts, which would move bilateral relations in this area to broader horizons.

Shneba commended the training initiatives by China for the Libyan competencies in several areas, especially in the area of media, which had a positive impact in order to raise the efficiency of workers in the area of Libyan media.

For his side, Liu Jian praised the role of the Foreign Media Department in providing the necessary facilities to the Chinese media teams that submitted coverage requests for the flood disaster in the eastern region, expressing his hope to enhance bilateral cooperation in the area of exchanging news and official statements of the two countries, conveying the official diplomatic viewpoints, and ensuring their visibility in the media of the two countries.
