Lana: The International Cycling Federation agrees to organize the Libya International Cycling Tour.

Tripoli, 10 October 2023 (Lana) The Head of the Libyan Cycling Federation, Nour-Al-Din Al-Treki, announced today the approval of the International Federation to organize the Libyan International Cycling Tour, and Derna is one of its stages.

Al-Treki said in a statement to the Libyan News Agency (Lana), “Today, the Libyan Cycling Federation received official approval from the International Federation to approve the organization of the Libyan Cycling Tour annually starting next year and to support it with modern bicycles for the team, and we received 8 bicycles last week.”

“We met with Wajih Azzam, Head of the African Cycling Confederation, as well as with David Labratien, Head of the International Cycling Federation, and they pledged us to approve the organization of the Libyan Cycling Tour annually, starting next year, with the participation of many Arab and African teams, as well as European teams, so that this tour will be the fourth and it will be organized after more than 13 years,” he added.
