Takala and Bathily discuss the repercussions of the tragic situation in Derna.

Tripoli, September 26, 2023 (Lana) The President of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, discussed with the UN Envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, the repercussions of the tragic situation in Derna and Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar regions.
This came during a meeting held yesterday at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, during which Bathily expressed his sincere condolences to the Libyan people for the victims of Derna and Al-Jabal Akhdar regions as a result of storm Daniel.
Takala reviewed the steps and mechanisms used by the HCS to reduce the suffering of residents of the affected areas, in addition to the practical steps for the reconstruction of Derna.
They also discussed the political situation in Libya and ways to advance the political process to reach elections and end the transitional stages.
