Batili confirms the UN mission’s support for efforts to unify the Central Bank of Libya.

Tripoli, September 7, 2023 (LANA) - The UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, affirmed the mission’s full support for efforts to unify the Central Bank of Libya and its readiness to cooperate and support the Central Bank in the steps that will be taken in this regard.

This came during the reception of the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, in his office today, Thursday, the UN envoy Abdullah Batili.

The media office of the Central Bank reported that during the meeting, the efforts made by the Central Bank of Libya to enhance the level of transparency and disclosure of spending and public revenues were reviewed in accordance with the monthly data published by the Central Bank and the upcoming roadmap for the Central Bank’s role in advancing the economy and maintaining the country’s financial and monetary stability.
