The House of Representatives salutes the Libyan people who went out in all Libyan cities in rejection and denunciation of normalization with the Zionist entity.

Benghazi, August 28, 2023 (LANA) – The House of Representatives saluted the Libyan people who went out in rejection and denunciation in all Libyan cities to meet Foreign Minister Naglaa Al-Mangoush with the Foreign Minister of the Zionist entity, affirming his firm national and religious position and his firm commitment to the Palestinian cause and building a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

In a statement, the House of Representatives demanded, in a statement issued at the end of an emergency session held today, Monday, against the backdrop of Foreign Minister Naglaa Al-Mangoush’s meeting with the Zionist entity’s foreign minister, the Attorney General to hold the national unity government accountable and everyone who participated with it, for what it described as the crime of communicating with the Zionist entity.

The House of Representatives called on all countries to deal with the government mandated by Parliament, stressing that Parliament's decision to withdraw confidence from the national unity government was a correct decision.

The statement stressed that the legitimate government is the government mandated by the House of Representatives, calling on all agencies and institutions in the Libyan state not to cooperate with the unity government until a new government is formed.

The statement stressed the need to form a joint committee of the House of Representatives and the State Council to form a mini-government in cooperation with the UN mission whose mission is to lead the country towards elections, calling at the same time the Libyan people to insist on forming a new government as soon as possible.

The House of Representatives recommended the 6 + 6 committee for the preparation of electoral laws, emphasizing that anyone who has been proven to be involved in communicating with the Zionist entity should not be allowed to run for elections, according to the statement.

The House of Representatives accused the national unity government of communicating with the Zionist entity with the aim of continuing in power and obstructing elections, as it did in the year 2020-2021.
