UNICEF and UNSMIL organize a workshop on the protection of children in armed conflict.

Tripoli 9 August 2023 (Lana) The UNICEF Libya and in cooperation with UNSMIL and the Human Rights Office in the Ministry of Defense organized a workshop on the protection of children in armed conflict.
The UNSMIL stated on its Twitter today that the two-day workshop discussed strengthening protection measures under relevant Libyan laws.
The seminar, which was organized with the support of the government of Norway, was attended by members of the Joint Military Committee 5+5, representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity, the House of Representatives, the military prosecution, Libyan monitors of the ceasefire, and other legal and military experts.
