Pulbished on:Tripoli, July 10, 2023 (LANA) - Head of the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce, Nicolas Colecki, considered, Monday, that the resumption of direct flights between Italy and Libya, which was announced by Head of Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, is a very positive development to increase Communication between the companies of both countries.
"Resumption of flights will be of fundamental importance because it will not only be a real physical rapprochement between the two countries, but also a very important development for creating a network of small and medium-sized Libyan and Italian entrepreneurs," Colecki said in statement to the Italian news agency Nova.
"From an economic point of view, the route between Italy and Libya could be very profitable, given the growing demand for direct flights to Europe, which currently passes through Tunisia, Istanbul and, more recently, Malta," Colecki continued.
He also indicated that, during his recent mission to Libya, he met more than one airline, Maltese and Libyan, and they are all very interested in operating this flight. Stressing that he is confident that this initiative will only be a great commercial success.
